A true Renaissance man, Mr. Janes (aka BCJ) is an experienced Multimedia Producer and Program Manager with an impressive track record in translating business needs into system requirements for solutions, and then implementing them.
In recent years BCJ has focused his energy as a professional photographer operating BCJ Photography, a full-service photography studio providing portrait and commercial photography services to private parties and corporations.
Documenting live performance events since 2005, BCJ Photography has served as the official photographer for production companies throughout Chicago, including Varietease Cabaret, Belmont Burlesque and Lavender Cabaret, among others. He has also completed workshops with renowned glamour photographers Rolando Gomez, Mark Daughn and Moses Marquez.
In 2008 BCJ launched PinupPhotoParty.com, an event where ladies unleash their inner pinup girl, and made his gallery debut in the summer of 2009, showing his erotic fine art photography at the Nineteen Hundred and One Gallery in Chicago. He has been published in the book "The Most Naked Woman", a collection of photographs featuring Michelle L'amour, as well as numerous print and on-line publications, including TimeOut Chicago, Shimmy Magazine, and Chicagoist.
He is currently producing "All That Glitters: Portraits of Burlesque Performers In Their Homes", a multimedia endeavor that seeks the answer to the question: What is burlesque? The project will culminate in a coffee table book, a documentary film, and gallery exhibitions in cities throughout the United States.
BCJ is a professionally trained musician and composer with a degree in classical music composition from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music and has extensive experience writing, recording and engineering music and audio productions in the recording studio. He has worked with video game developers to create the soundtrack and sound effects for a video game demo and has produced recordings ranging from live musical performances to spoken word.
BCJ's area of particular emphasis over the years as a program manager has been the execution of electronic advertising functionality. He has also developed and launched new reports that commercialize data and enable clients to make more intelligent decisions on marketing and advertising. In recent years BCJ has worked as a business consultant on the application of technology to complex business processes for clients including Rewards Network and Weichert Realtors - Endeavor.
BCJ previously served as the Director of Product Development for TravelCLICK, an electronic marketing services company. In this capacity he led the first-of-its-kind implementation of highly sophisticated ad serving technology into the Global Distribution Systems used by more than 600,000 travel agents around the world. He also had primary responsibility for developing and implementing enhancements to the company's electronic advertising products and sales analysis reports, which generated over $50 million in revenue.
Prior to TravelCLICK, BCJ served as the ad operations manager for Classified Ventures, where he managed the implementation and operation of ad serving for online classified ad sites including Cars.com, Apartments.com, and Homescape.com.
